About me
I am a warm, understanding and compassionate Clinical Psychologist based in Cheshire, South Manchester with a passion for helping people.
I have extensive experience of supporting clients from all walks of life from my previous NHS roles, and within my private practice. I help people to overcome their struggles and distress, and live a more content life.
I am passionate about helping people to reduce any distress, suffering or struggles they may be living with. I bring over 13 years of experience of working in the NHS to best support my clients and help them to become the best versions of themselves.
My Background
I completed my doctorate training in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsych) at the University of Bath in 2015. Prior to this I also obtained my undergraduate degree in Psychology (BSc Hons) and Masters degree in Health Psychology also at the University of Bath.
My doctoral research explored the impact that chronic pain can have on peoples' mental health and the study was published with the British Journal of Pain in 2018.
I have gained an extensive amount of experience working in a range of mental and physical health settings and can provide clients with highly specialised, evidence-based psychological support.
I have been highly trained to offer a range of different types of psychological therapies and some of these include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Alongside therapy, I am also trained to provide clinical supervision, deliver educational packages, and host 'reflective practice' sessions.
NHS Roles
I first started working in the NHS back in 2011, offering psychological support to cardiac rehabilitation patients. -
Prospect Hospice, Swindon
-
Royal United Hospital, Bath (Clinical Health Psychology Team)
-

After completing my training I began working as a Clinical Psychologist in the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) service at Salford Royal Hospital and then moved on to work as a Specialist Clinical Psychologist in the Renal Service at Salford Royal NHS and more recently Specialist Clinical Psychologist in the cancer and palliative care service for the Black Country NHS.
